Gerd Janson
Gerd Janson is a highly respected DJ in house and techno, known for reconfiguring classics and introducing new ones before they become mainstream. Raised near Frankfurt, he fell in love with dance music in the early '90s and has a genre-free approach to his sets, mixing house, techno, UK funky, synth pop, and industrial. He has held a residency at Frankfurt’s Robert-Johnson club since 2000 with Thomas Hammann, and has played worldwide, including a residency at Berlin’s Panorama Bar.
Janson runs the Running Back label, home to both popular and cult artists, and collaborates with Philip Lauer as Tuff City Kids, producing unpretentious, dancefloor-effective music. Known for his modesty and versatility, Janson is a DJ who deeply cares about his craft and is a well-kept secret in dance music.
