Avalon Emerson

Avalon Emerson 2026 Bio Now one of dance music’s most respected DJs, Avalon Emerson first made a name for herself in the storied warehouse scene of her birthplace, San Francisco, before relocating to Berlin in 2013. Over a decade of performances at the famed Berghain led to appearances at numerous festivals around the world which all cemented Emerson as perennially in demand.

Her DJ sets transcend the confines of time or genre by recontextualizing dance music from previous eras among contemporary sounds weaving together house, techno, new wave, disco, and rave obscurities with her own productions and edits.

In 2019 she launched 9000 Dreams, her own international series of events, as the curatorial expression of her musical vision. Showcasing the breadth of her eclectic taste over the course of a club night, artists on the lineup range from heavy hitters to exciting new names.

In 2020, she released her first full-length collection: a contribution to the long-running DJ-Kicks series (which Resident Advisor described as “The sound of a well-honed DJ at the top of her game.”), nestled alongsi de a steady stream of remix releases for the likes of Four Tet, Slowdive, Robyn and more.

Next up was 2023’s Avalon Emerson &the Charm, an instant classic which saw Emerson exploring her singing voice and more traditional songwriting outside of the bounda ries of her dance music work. Created after a move to New York, the resulting& the Charm album was released to critical acclaim, landing on numerous critics’ best-of -the - year lists.

In 2025 Avalon focused on her DJ career with a heavy schedule of worldwide touring including a 9000 Dreams tour, a celebrated closing slot at Dekmantel festival, and the release of Perpetual Emotion Machine, a series of singles created for her DJ sets, spanning genres and decades, and delivered as a living, evolving project.

In 2026 the stage is now set for her to carve out a wholly unique path starting with the release of the propulsive, breakbeat assisted “Eden” and the announcement of Written into Changes, the second full length from the Avalon Emerson & the Charm project and the first to be released by indie powerhouse Dead Oceans. A slate of worldwide & the Charm tour dates will follow.

Ben UFO b2b Joy Orbison

As one of the co-founders of Hessle Audio, Ben UFO has been responsible, alongside Pearson Sound and Pangaea, for some of the most varied and ground breaking releases of recent years. Having become immersed in the still emerging dubstep scenes in London and Leeds in 2005, his musical taste was shaped primarily by the DMZ and Sub Dub nights taking place in those cities. However, as tastes have shifted and scenes have fragmented, Ben UFO's approach to the music and to Hessle Audio itself has developed.

As BPMs have dropped and influences have broadened, so too has the vision of Ben UFO's DJing. He remains one of the few DJs in the UK to have made an impact without a production career to fall back on, and as such his reputation is solely the result of his skill as a selector and as a mixer. As a result he remains in a position to fully explore sounds both old and new, across the worlds of house and garage, dubstep and grime, and further into the past. This level of commitment to the dance music of the last two decades has led to a collection of records which reflects the position London has long held as a city responsible for the constant development of forward thinking music.

Joy Orbison — the moniker of London-based producer Peter O’Grady — is currently in the most vital phase of his career. Long celebrated as a defining voice in the UK underground, he finds himself at a rare juncture where underground credibility and broad cultural resonance not only coexist but actively fuel one another.

In recent years, O’Grady’s work has taken on a new clarity of intent. His 2021 debut mixtape, still slipping vol. 1, marked a quiet turning point: a deeply personal collection that wove together cutting-edge production, intimate spoken-word interludes from family, and contributions from artists like James Massiah, Léa Sen, Herron, and Tyson.
Released via XL Recordings, it felt less like a debut album than a pirate transmission from a parallel London — one where tenderness and sonic pressure are two sides of the same coin. The critical response reflected this nuance: still slipping won “Best Album” at DJ Mag’s Best of British Awards and was praised by Resident Advisor and The Guardian for its emotional clarity and resistance to conventional formats.

Overmono (DJ Set)

Overmono were on a roll before lockdown. As the top YouTube comment for their Joy Orbison collaboration track ‘Bromley’ put it, “so this is the track that was on every 5 minutes at Warehouse Project. ”That track and the duo’s own ‘Le Tigre’ were played out constantly by the likes of Four Tet and Ben UFO, the former also hiring the duo to remix his track ‘Teenage Birdsong’.

Then there are their edits. Thom Yorke was so impressed by the duo’s versions of ‘Not The News’that he let them release the tracks on their own Polykicks label. Add to that their cheeky version of Rosalia –‘A Palé’,which caught the ear and the eye of the respected flamenco artist, as well as being a highlight of their live performances pre-lockdown.

Then the world abruptly stopped, all their forthcoming gigs were cancelled and suddenly Overmono were able to fully commit their energy to their legendary Bromley studio. It’s was during this time that the duo feel they’ve been able to realise exactly what Overmono’s music should be. “Our work together had so far been about exploring and defining what Overmono is... and we feel like we’ve got this now”.

Daria Kolosova

Daria was born in the small town of Lutugino in eastern Ukraine. Her love for music was instilled by her father, and her devotion to electronic music began at the age of nine when she first heard “Diesel Power” by The Prodigy. Her passion grew even stronger when her mother sent her to music school, where she studied piano. Drawn to DJing from an early age, Daria embraced her vocation, which led to her first performance in February 2010. Following her debut, she continued performing actively in clubs across Luhansk and other cities, while also organizing her own parties.

After being inspired by Kyiv’s electronic scene and immersing herself in the vast spectrum of electronic music genres, Daria refined her taste and relocated to Kyiv. There, she became a resident DJ at Keller, performing under the alias Dar:k, and co-launched the party series Materia UA. After some time of being deeply involved in the scene, Daria eventually began performing under her real name, leaving the Dar:k moniker as an experimental project. She went on to headline most of Kyiv’s underground nightclubs, including K41, Closer, and Otel, and expanded internationally, securing bookings at high-profile events and venues across Europe and beyond. Today, Daria is one of the fastest-rising names in the techno scene. She has played at some of the world’s most renowned institutions, with frequent bookings at Berghain, Bassiani, Fabric, and London’s Fold, as well as major festivals such as Tomorrowland, Junction 2, Awakenings, and Time Warp. During her first Ibiza season, she also performed at Amnesia, Hï, and DC-10.

As a DJ, Daria never aims to deliver what is expected of her. Instead, she strives to express her personal narratives through music. She views music as the most genuine form of communication, empathy, and unity - a tool that allows her to transform her energy into stories shared with people on the dance floor. She seeks not only to deliver a danceable and enjoyable set but also to inspire and introduce the crowd to something fresh and daring. Daria’s style is rooted in dynamic and groovy techno, often infused with elements of breakbeat, electro, hardcore, or jungle, making her performances rich in variety and full of unpredictability.

Girls Don’t Sync

Girls Don’t Sync - Gaia Ahuja (aka G33), Hannah Lynch, Sophia Ryalls (aka Sophia Violet), and Matty Chiabi, the women of Girls Don’t Sync, are redefining the electronic music landscape globally with their electrifying sets and unwavering commitment to inclusivity, culture, and connection. GDS was born out of Liverpool, but its roots stretch across the UK. Matty and Gaia, school friends from South London, took separate paths for university with Matty heading to Manchester and Gaia to Liverpool, where she began working in a club. There, she met Sophia, a student DJ from Salisbury who had moved to Liverpool for university. The two bonded over music, often playing at the club together. In the midst of those connections, Gaia and native Scouser Hannah also crossed paths through their work at a local youth club, running DJ workshops. Naturally, Matty, a frequent visitor to Liverpool, became part of the scene, with the city’s tightly-knit creative community fostering collaboration and support from one another – the rest is history.

The group initially started as an event series, with all four women working as promoters, booking DJs, and curating the nights. As they played more back-to-back sets, their undeniable chemistry organically evolved into a collective. Gradually building their reputation in underground spaces, playing grassroots venues across Liverpool and London, and embracing a DIY ethos that shaped both their sound and their community, they emerged at an exciting time for UK club music. Despite the challenges of COVID, GDS became a force within the scene, pushing a fresh, genre-blurring energy that resonated with dancefloors far beyond their city origins. Rooted in UK club staples like garage, house, and bass-driven sounds, GDS injects their own unique twists, blending influences from the Black diaspora, South Asian samples, and euphoric rave classics. Each member brings a distinct voice, contributing to a collective identity that refuses to be boxed in. GDS celebrates diverse cultures, pushing the boundaries of electronic music and creating genre-blurring experiences that unite dance floors worldwide.

Beyond the decks, GDS's platform is solely intended to uplift marginalised communities, advocate for causes close to their hearts, and open doors for the next generation of DJs. Whether amplifying LGBTQIA+ voices, advocating for the Type 1 diabetes community, or championing underrepresented artists by sharing the stage with them, GDS is driven by purpose. Their back-to-back performances reflect a synergy that goes beyond music – it's a shared mission to foster unity and inspire change.Their unwavering mission has earned them widespread recognition. In 2022, GDS won DJ Mag’s Best of British Breakthrough DJ award. By 2024, they performed at sold-out shows across Australia and New Zealand, earning a spot on MixMag’s ’25 DJs Who Defined the Year.’ Recently, they were shortlisted for the BBC Radio 1 Dance Impact Award. Now, as artists and producers under their own imprint, FOURMATION RECORDS, GDS is ready to shake up the scene with original music, starting with their debut single Come Thru, which they released at the end of last year and consequent track Gunshots, which they released at the end of January. With upcoming performances at Mighty Hoopla, Boomtown, Parklife, and Reading & Leeds, Girls Don’t Sync continues to make waves – one beat, one dance floor, and one unforgettable experience at a time.

Mia Koden

Mia Koden aka Sancha Ndeko she is a South London-based South Sudanese and British music producer and DJ. Initially growing up in Ghana and Nigeria soundtracked by her parents' lively stash of music from across the African continent and beyond, her formative years back in the UK had frequent soundsystem pilgrimages to spaces where roots reggae, drum & bass and dubstep could be heard. At some point during her London university days, two rusty Technics 1210’s arrived. Ndeko has since been creating and championing underground electronic music whilst building an arsenal of records traversing many sonic corners of the world.

Having made serious waves within the highly acclaimed duo Sicaria Sound with their penchant for forward-thinking 140BPM, her new alias brings along the same infectious energy and bass-and-percs-heavy sensibilities with some exciting deviations. 2023 first saw a heads-approved debut self-release ‘Hot Take / I Did’ followed by an EP for underground heroes Ilian Tape, both dipping into a familiar palette from her foundational Sicaria Sound days but with a fresh injection of 2-step, steppas dub and other electronic realms. The arrival of her 2nd 100% productions mix ‘Made By Mia Koden Vol. 2’ and its accompanying community-choice voted EPs ‘34U’ + ‘34U.2’ in 2024 built more momentum for Ndeko as a forward thinking producer including a nomination for Breakthrough Producer of 2024 from DJ Mag. With respected mixes for Dekmantel, My Analog Journal and Keep Hush - plus with more productions in the pipeline - Ndeko continues to showcase her selection of bass-weight laced with groove and unpredictable moments.
