The Hangar Open Air will be on the Saturday 3rd June 2023.
+ What are the opening hours and until what time can I get in ?
14h00 – 23h00.
No entrance will be allowed after 19:00. No exceptions.

+ Is there a minimum age ?
Yes, participants must be at least 18 years old to enter the event. ID might be asked at the entrance so don’t forget to bring your ID, passport or driving license.

+ Is there a bike park near the event ?
Yes, we will provide 300 guarded bike stands at the entrance of the Park.
Note that you must remove your bike immediately after the end of the event, otherwise it will be sent to the pound.
+ Where should I park my car ?
Due to the event’s location, we strongly advise you to come by public transport or use one of the three P+R parking at the entrances of the Brussels. They are free to use if ou use STIB services to get to the festival.

Tickets
+ What is a Regular+++ ticket ?
These tickets include fast-lane entry into the event and access to 2 exclusive viewing decks for a better view and more space.
+ What is the Viewing Deck ?
The viewing deck is an elevated space that allows you to enjoy the show with an outstanding view and a comfortable space.
+ What is entrance A and entrance B ?
Every ticket holder will be dispatched on 2 entrances. Check your ticket to know what is your group.
The access to the event is the same for the entrance A group and the entrance B group (via Merode). Group A will just have to go left at the Square de la Bouteille while the B group will go right.
+ Why did I receive a STIB ticket ? What is it and how does it work ?
Yes, every Hangar Open Air ticket contains a free round-trip with any STIB-MIVB services during the day of the event.
To do so, you need to convert your Event Pass code by following these steps :
- Go to a GO vending machine in a station or at a STIB-MIVB stop, where you can collect it up to 3 days before the event
- Select “Purchase MOBIB basic, Paper tickets, Event Pass”
- Type in the 9 digit code on the touch screen and confirm
- Retrieve the printed ticket
- On the day of the event, you’ll need to validate this transport ticket on a red validating machine

Entrance
+ What is entrance A and B ?
Every ticket holder will be dispatched on 2 different entrances. Check your ticket to know what is your group.
The access to the event is the same for the entrance A group and the entrance B group (via Merode). Group A will just have to go left at the Square de la Bouteille while the B group will go right.

Yes, as long as you bring your prescription with you and do not take them in glass containers.

+ Will there be lockers in the event ?
Yes, lockers will be available at the event’s entrance.
+ Is the event accessible for reduced mobility people ?
Yes, the Open Air festival has the necessary measures to accommodate reduced mobility festival-goers.
+ Will there be Wi-Fi ?
Yes, a public Wi-Fi will be available in some area of the event.
Payment Methods
+ What are the payments methods available ?
Payment can be made only be made through our Hangar App. To do so, you need to :
- Download the App
- Top-up your wallet
- Buy some HNG tokens within the app using Apple Pay, Bancontact or credit card.
- You can top-up your wallet now by entering the Hangar App on the web.
- Show your QR code
- On the top right of your App, you will easily find your personal QR code. Note that the code is also available offline.
+ I don't have a smartphone. How can I do ?
If you don’t have any smartphone, a top-up desk will allow you to add funds by credit card/Bancontact on a magnetic card.
+ What if my phone runs out of battery ?
If your phone runs out of battery, there will be a charging station inside the event.
Food & Beverages
+ Can I eat inside the event ? What about vegetarian/vegan options ?
Yes, many gourmet street-food trucks will be there to feed you.
They offer lots of vegan and vegeterian food as well.
+ Can I bring my own food and drinks inside the event ?
No, it is forbidden to take your own food and drinks inside the festival.
+ Will you provide free water ?
Yes, a potable water fountain will be at your disposal.
General
Tickets - General Information
+ How many tickets can I order ?
You can buy a maximum of 10 tickets per order.
+ I can’t download my ticket. What is a sealed ticket ?
After completing an order with payment, you will receive a confirmation including Sealed Tickets by email.
In order to avoid fraud and high resell prices, Hangar only allows Tickets Holders to personalize and download their tickets 2 weeks before the event. Before these 2 weeks, the only thing you get is a Sealed Ticket. You will receive an email notification once the ticket is personalizable.
Everyone will be given a ticket that is sealed. Only a short time before the event, in our case two weeks prior to the event, sealed tickets will be available for personalization.
+ What is ticket personalization ?
In order to personalize your ticket(s), you will receive a notification email when personalization is available (2 weeks before the event). This email provides a link and asks you to fill in personal information (such as full name, email address and date of birth of every attendee).

+ I can’t come anymore, where can I sell my tickets ?
You can buy or resell tickets via our official Ticketswap page. We recommend only using TicketSwap to avoid unwanted surprises such as fake or fraudulent tickets.

+ I bought a ticket for Hangar but I can't find it in my mailbox.
You can receive your tickets purchased on Paylogic again by requesting it in this link.
It may happen that you cannot find the confirmation email of your order. This email contains the link to download or retrieve your e-tickets.
We recommend you to check your inbox thoroughly also including your “Spam” folder.
Note: The confirmation and follow-up emails are sent to the email address that was used to place the order. Therefore, in case you have not received the notifications, you can try checking your other usual email accounts. It may happen that you placed the order using a different email.
It is also possible to access your order by clicking on the ‘manage my tickets’ button in the confirmation mail or by clicking on the order in the order reminder mail.

If any trouble happens to you, your friend or someone surrounding you, don’t hesitate to call the nearest staff or security member. If in doubt, do it anyway.
+ What is the Hangar's drugs policy ?
There is an absolute zero-tolerance policy in regard to the possession, sale, purchase or use of any drugs or illegal substance at the festival site and around.
However, we are aware of the fact that illegal substances are used at festivals, despite the risks and consequences that may come with it. While we strongly discourage your use of them at our festivals, we are not here to judge you, but to help you if something goes wrong. Therefore, it is our responsibility to provide a safe environment for everyone at all times.
If you decide to use prohibited substances during our festival, please remember the following:
- Make sure you are rested and feel good, both physically and mentally. Also make sure you have friends or family around you who will take care of you.
- Do not use substances with which you are not familiar. Always look for its effects and side effects first.
- Try to find out as much as you can about the quality of your substance. If you have any doubts, don’t try it.
- Try to be as sure as possible that the quality of the product is safe and not mixed with any dangerous substance.
- Determine your dose in advance and stick to it. Consider body weight and tolerance. Ask for advices to your friends if you don’t know how much is your limit.
- Do not risk mixing different substances. Not with alcohol or any other substance.
- During the festival, it is important not to tire the body and mind. Take a regular break from the dance floor.
- We all know that driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is unacceptable. Please, for the sake of everyone’s safety, just don’t. If you plan to drink or use any substances, use take a taxi, Uber, Heetch or Bolt.
- Stay hydrated, but don’t drink too much water to avoid water intoxication.
ABOVE ALL : Do not hesitate to contact a member of staff if you have any doubts about someone’s medical condition or your own. They are there to help you, not to judge you.

In order to ensure that all participants can enjoy Hangar events and activities, Hangar is committed to creating a welcoming, safe, supportive and harassment-free environment for all participants, regardless of their gender, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, disability, physical appearance, height, race, ethnicity, religion or other group identity.
This Hangar Code of Conduct outlines the standards for an event to be enjoyed by all visitors without being harassed or feeling unsafe. Everyone, including our staff, volunteers, security, partners, independent contractors and others such as artists, photographers and videographers are expected to cooperate. The event organisers will ensure that this is respected throughout the event.
Hangar expects all its event participants to communicate professionally and constructively, whether in person or virtually, to handle disagreements with courtesy, dignity and openness, to express their opinions with respect and to be open to other points of view. Similarly, Hangar expects that any information shared about the organisation or participants in an event via public communication channels will be communicated responsibly and with a clear distinction between individual opinion and fact.
If a participant, whether physically present or virtually, engages in inappropriate, harassing, abusive or destructive behavior or language, Hangar organizers will determine and enforce the appropriate course of action, such as warnings, expulsion from the event without refund and/or banning the offender from future Hangar events and activities. All participants are expected to abide by these rules and maintain appropriate behavior in all areas of the event. Violations will be taken very seriously.
+ What should I do if I see an aggression or someone feeling unsafe ?
Anyone who is a victim or a witnesses of an assault and/or inappropriate behaviour is strongly advised to report it right away to a Hangar staff member. Do this as well if you are feeling unsafe, not feeling well if you see someone feeling that way. In doubt, do it anyways.
Staff members are here to help you, not to judge you.
After the festival, we strongly recommend you to send your testimony of the incident at feelsafe@thehangar.be – This will help us to understand what happened and to avoid it at our next event.
+ What is Hangar's ear protection policy?
You can get free earplugs at the Modus Vivendi stand.
We strongly recommend you to use earplugs during the festival. We always strive to find the right balance between a good sound system and a safe space for our guests’ ears. This balance can vary according to individual sensibilities. That is why free earplugs will be available at the bar and at the Modus Vivendi stand. If in doubt, use earplugs to avoid irreversible damage to your ears.
